Sofia Nordin

Sofia Nordin was born and raised north of Stockholm where she spent much of her time outdoors, in the forest. Perhaps it was there that her love for nature and the interest in survival skills were born, and are now recurrent themes in her stories.

Her first young adult book Äventysveckan (In the Wild), published 2003, was awarded a debut prize and got translated into several languages, among which English, French and German. Since then she has published a number of books for teenagers and young readers. Two of her books, Natthimmel (Night Sky, 2009) and Det händer nu (It Happens Now, 2010), were nominated for the August Prize. Together with Kajsa Gordan, also represented by Koja Agency, she has written the books about the resouceful brothers Harry and Gunnar.  Her writing is praised by critics and readers alike.
